By taking part in Walk for Rescue I have raised enough for a care package for:
2 dogs
A care package includes all the essentials a dog needs, including a comfy bed to sleep in and a bowl for their favourite food, creating a welcoming space when they arrive at Battersea.

For my Blue and many more
I’m taking part in Walk for Rescue, Battersea's dog walking challenge. Throughout the month of October, I will be covering 90km in memory of my boy Blue.
Battersea will always be there for every dog and cat. Battersea takes dogs and cats in, gives them the expert care they need and finds them new homes that are just right for them. They help pet owners make informed choices, provide training advice, and campaign for changes in the law. And they help other rescue centres and charities at home and abroad because they want to be here for every dog and cat, wherever they are, for as long as they need Battersea.
Thank you so much for your support.

My Updates
Don’t underestimate a rescue dog!
Tuesday 29th OctIt’s been just over two weeks since Boycee joined our lives, and what a journey it’s been! With a bit of love, patience, and understanding, a rescue dog truly reveals their heart—no matter their age.
The miles we’ve walked together have taught me more than I ever expected—about him, but also about myself. As of now, we’ve smashed it! Logged over 150 km (93.7miles) each step raising awareness and support for the wonderful animals at Battersea.
Thank you for being part of this journey! With only a few more days to log, and a cold looming I’m pleased with the result and our new little buddy.
Think more dog and feel the love xxx
A little news
Monday 14th Oct In the last two weeks I’ve been walking in Egypt, visiting tombs, swimming in the Red Sea and snorkelling with the fishes! Not much walking I hear you say! Well I’ve tallied my steps and to date I’ve nearly done 92,800 steps. With a little help from the calculator site, it equates to 41.35 miles (converted again for the kilometres! In Loving Memory of My Boy, Blue
Thursday 5th SepLosing a pet is never easy, and when they are taken too soon, the pain is even more profound. My beloved boy, Blue, was taken from me far too early due to IVDD (Intervertebral Disc Disease). His bright eyes and loving nature filled my life with so much joy, and his absence is felt deeply every day. But instead of letting that pain sit heavy on my heart, I’ve decided to channel my grief into something positive—something that will help other animals in need.
I will be walking 90km in loving memory of Blue. With every step, I’ll carry the spirit of my sweet boy, and I hope to raise £300 to support the animals in Battersea’s care. Battersea is a sanctuary for so many animals who, like Blue, deserve all the love and kindness in the world. The money raised will go towards providing food, shelter, and medical care for the animals waiting for their forever homes.
