Your fundraising helps dogs like Islay, Bubbly and noah

Walk 30km this October and raise funds for rescue animals like little Islay. Islay arrived at Battersea as a stray with three other dogs, and suffering from a severe scabies infection, meaning she had to be quarantined for a month.

Islay had very badly matted fur and needed urgent attention from our groomers to shave the affected fur so that she could grow a new, healthy coat. It became clear from the scratch marks and wounds on her body that Islay was very uncomfortable and had been scratching herself excessively.

Our expert clinic team gave her the best possible care while she recovered from the painful, itchy skin condition, bathing her in a soothing medicated bath to help her skin to heal. After 40 days on site and a lot of love and care, Islay was able to go to her new home and meet her new brother - former Battersea cat Cyrus!

Walk 60km this October and raise funds for rescue animals like sweet Bubbly. Bubbly came to Battersea when his owner moved into accommodation that sadly wasn’t dog friendly. Bubbly's owner was one of the thousands of pet-owning renters across the UK facing challenges every day.

Bubbly found moving into the kennel environment quite stressful and scary, so Battersea’s expert team made sure he got lots of attention and human interaction, even bringing him up to spend time with them in the office.

After he was neutered and had his routine medical checks, Bubbly went to stay in a foster home so that he could settle in an environment that he was more comfortable in. After a short stay in his foster home, Bubbly went on to find a new family who are helping him to settle into life, teaching him the basics and building his confidence back up.

Walk 90km this October and raise funds for rescue animals like Noah. Seven month old husky Noah sadly arrived at Battersea as a stray, so we don't know much about his history.

Noah found the kennels scary at first, but soon came out of his shell and showed off his clumsy, comedic personality. After exploring site on walks, Noah loved to get cuddles from staff and could often be found ‘splooting’ with all four legs out in his kennel. As a husky, he needed a lot of exercise and stimulation, which meant that he would need a very understanding home who could put a lot of time into training him.

While he waited for his new home, Noah went to stay with one of Battersea's dedicated foster carers, Francesca. She gave him lots of love and began to teach him how to live in a home. After a month with Francesca, Noah found a wonderful new home to call his own permanently, and he even has a new brother - Gerald the greyhound.
