Bramble, our little golden boy was rescued by Battersea in August 2024 - back then, he was an 11 month old stray who had been hit by a car and needed surgery to put plates in his back leg and remove some of his hip, so he was with them for quite a while until we rescued him in January 2025. Every second of every day I am reminded of how grateful I am to them for looking after our good boy, and for letting me get to be his mummy! He really is the most wonderful, affectionate pup and his baby sister Posy just adores him 🩵

That’s why in October we are all taking part in Walk for Rescue, Battersea's dog walking challenge. Throughout the month of October, we will be covering 99km together to raise money to say thank you for taking such good care of him and help them to keep providing the same care and commitment to dogs in need. 

Battersea will always be there for every dog and cat; they take dogs and cats in, give them the expert care they need and find them new homes that are just right for them. They help pet owners make informed choices, provide training advice, and campaign for changes in the law; and they help other rescue centres and charities at home and abroad because they want to be here for every dog and cat, wherever they are, for as long as they need Battersea.

Thank you so much for your support, it means so much to us and it would be amazing to think that another dog in Bramble’s situation can be given a bright and happy future thanks to the care and dedication of the Battersea team, with a little help from any money we raise ✨
