I’m taking part in Walk for Rescue, Battersea's dog walking challenge. Throughout the month of October, I will be covering at least 36km with Pickles by my side!
Battersea will always be there for every dog and cat. Battersea takes dogs and cats in, gives them the expert care they need and finds them new homes that are just right for them. They help pet owners make informed choices, provide training advice, and campaign for changes in the law. And they help other rescue centres and charities at home and abroad because they want to be here for every dog and cat, wherever they are, for as long as they need Battersea.

We Did It – But We’re Not Stopping!
Sunday 28th SepPickles and I have officially reached our first goal of 36 km for Battersea! To put that into perspective, that’s around 144 km in chihuahua steps (Pickles’ little legs work about four times as hard as mine!)
We’re so proud to have hit this milestone, but we’re not done yet. We’ll keep walking for the rest of the fundraiser to see just how far we can go together 🐾

29KM Down!
Saturday 20th SepPickles and I are edging closer to our first distance goal!
So far we’ve covered 29 kilometres together. To put that in perspective, for a Chihuahua that’s the equivalent of about 145K doggo steps which is an incredible achievement for a 12-year-old dog.
We’re pacing ourselves, but I couldn’t be prouder of how eager she is to get those steps in. Two years ago she was rescued from Battersea, and since then she’s been a spark of joy in my life.
She’s bounced back from a leg injury and still surprises me every day with her energy! Seeing her get all those steps in is amazing and not too bad for a pup who’s nearly 70 in human years!
We’ll keep pushing toward our goal and beyond.
